What is the Cedarvale Health Ministry Training Course?
Cedarvale's exciting Health Ministry Training Course offers a great opportunity to learn how to be a successful health ministry worker. Our goal is to equip trainees with the knowledge and experience required for them to become proficient in helping the sick to regain their health by using Christ's simple methods of healing, as outlined in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy
As a trainee, you will become an integral part of our health team here at Cedarvale Health Retreat.
The school at Cedarvale is all about training you in ministry. Training you so you can be more effective in your occupation, at church, in your family or in a life of full-time ministry.
Where is Cedarvale?
Cedarvale is nestled amongst 150 acres of temperate rainforest in beautiful Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. The environment abounds with wildlife, waterfalls and walking trails. We’re an easy 2 hour drive from Sydney and Canberra and only 1 hour from Goulburn, Wollongong and the South Coast regions. What is Cedarvale?
Cedarvale Health and Lifestyle Retreat is a non-profit organisation and a supportive ministry of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Cedarvale is here to educate, encourage and guide our guests towards healthy behaviours, and to support them to take steps in the areas of fitness, nutrition, weight management, health risk and stress management. What is the Course Duration?
Cedarvale's health ministry course runs for 1 year. Intakes are January and July of each year.
What is the Cost?
Cedarvale's Health Ministry Training Course works on a win-win system where we give you the training in exchange for working volunteer at the Health Centre. However, there are some upfront costs required for some course materials and enrolment, the most significant of which being for the Cert IV in Massage Therapy Practice. Please contact us for more details.

- Some meals when you are rosted on duty at the Lodge

What's Not Included?
- Upfront course enrolment costs
- Your own food and linen
- Personal toiletries, etc
- General household living costs (cleaning supplies, tissues, toilet paper, etc.)
How Big Are the Class Sizes?
Usually 2-3 students per intake. Intakes are January and July of each year.
