Cedarvale is seeking applications for the role of Plant-based Chef / Hospitality - Victoria. The commencment date in July 2024.

The purpose of the role -

To provide plant-based cooking and nutrition that promote health and healing; to connect on a meaningful level in order to promote physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing.
To facilitate positive health education sessions with guests.
To contribute to maintaining a welcoming environment for guests through hospitality.
To offer support to the Cedarvale team through miscellaneous operational duties.

Responsibilities includes -

Develop innovative plant-based recipes and menu items that appeal to the diverse range of tastes and dietary preferences.
Responsible for menu development, food preparation cooking, and ensuring high standards of quality and taste in all plant-based offerings that aligns with the biblical health teachings.
Provide occasional Health Presentations and classes for guests.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Evening hospitality may be required.
Periodic office assistance duties as required.

SKILLS required:

Proven experience as a chef, with a focus on nutrition and foods as healing mechanisms.
Strong knowledge of plant-=based ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavour profiles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Competent in handling and serving food for the guests and creating a positive atmosphere during the guest mealtime.
Ability to communicate well with guests and colleagues alike.
Ability to facilitate and direct group discussions.
Well organised and punctual and has attention to details and numbers.
Contribute to a positive team spirit in the workplace.
Ability to maintain guest confidentiality.
Certification from a culinary institute or relevant training is a plus.

PERFORMANCE GOALS:

Cedarvale is seeking to recruit 1 Massage Therapist, Hydroterapist, and Hospitality for our opening in July 2024.

Purpose of the position is:

To minister to guests through relaxing and therapeutic treatments that promote health and healing; to connect on a meaningful level in order to promote physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing.
To facilitate positive health education sessions with guests.
To contribute to maintaining a welcoming environment for guests through hospitality.
To offer support to the Cedarvale team through miscellaneous operational duties.

Responisbilities of the position:

Skills required:

Competent in understanding and delivery of the hydrotherapy, skin and massage treatments appropriate to this retreat.
Maintain professional conduct in accordance with massage industry standards.
Competent in handling and serving food for the guests and creating a positive atmosphere during the guest meal time.
Ability to communicate well with guests and colleagues alike.
Ability to facilitate and direct group discussions.
Well organised and punctual, and has attention to details and numbers.
Contribute to a positive team spirit in the workplace.
Ability to maintain guest confidentiality
